Coca-Cola Billboard on Hospital?

Here are two photographs that appear to show a billboard on Danbury Hospital advertising Coca-Cola.

Drivers heading toward Danbury Hospital from Osborne Street along Hospital Avenue were confronted by an unbelievable image Thursday morning.

What they saw was a billboard advertising Coca-Cola on the side of Danbury Hospital. What happened to the nationwide fight against childhood obesity? What happened to the city's zoning laws? Leadership at the hospital? A sense of humor?

Upon closer examination, two things became obvious. First, the lettering and Coca-Cola logo are 30 or 40 years old. This was the lettering from the old Christmas Coca-Cola advertistments with a white bearded jolly old St. Nick. That raised some doubt.

Next the whole idea of the hospital selling advertising space and the city agreeing to it popped into mind. What this is isn't possible.

While walking closer, it was possible to see the culprit. It wasn't a billboard. It wasn't attached to the hospital at all.

It was a tractor trailer truck fully decorated in vintage Coca-Cola.
