"I would like to thank the 417 donors that have believed in this campaign and have supported me in my efforts to change the 24th district for the better. I have talked extensively with residents, and people are fed up with the direction this state is going. Everyday goods are becoming more and more unaffordable each day. Housing costs are through the roof. You turn on the news and see bold crime continue to increase. These concerns must be listened to, prioritized and addressed at the state level. I will bring a voice to Hartford that protects residents and business from reckless policy that continues to increase the cost of living and price people out of this state." Coelho stated.
Coelho achieved state financing after blowing past the required threshold of $17,800 raised from more than 300 unique donations in district. Coelho is building a strong base of voters who are disillusioned with a majority party in Hartford that has failed to adequately fund education, has passed multiple tax increases over the past decade, and overrode local zoning control, removing municipalities’ say when certain developers want to build in their town.

"I am excited to continue to listen to the people of the 24th district and promote policy that embodies the principles of fiscal responsibility and freedom. As your state senator, I will fight to reduce the tax burden on families, prevent unfunded mandates from being levied on municipalities, and I will support law enforcement in addressing crime and keeping our communities safe."
