CT Legislature Should Pass Republican Tax Relief Plan ASAP “Give us back our money”

Michelle Coelho, who is running to be the next Connecticut Senator from the 24th District, applauded the Republican plan to send more money back to residents through additional and immediate tax relief for struggling families.

“Connecticut families are feeling the pain of their Democratic leadership,” Coelho said. “Pain at the pump. Pain at the grocery store. Pain is everywhere, but the Democrats who run Connecticut aren't listening to the people. I am listening. Democrats need to get back into the State Capitol today and pass this plan. Give us back our money.

“As your state Senator, I would vote yes on immediately cutting the income tax, sales tax, diesel tax, and the highway truck tax. I would vote yes on increasing the income eligibility limit for the state’s winter heating assistance program to provide more help to middle-class households.

“We need action right now, and we need to elect state lawmakers who are willing to fight to protect people’s wallets. As your State Senator, that’s exactly what I’ll do. To the citizens of Danbury, New Fairfield and Ridgefield, I am asking for your support - and your vote - in November.”
