Danbury 2015 Election: Candidates, Polling Places, Sample Ballot

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3 and we share with you some of the information you'll need to know.

The municipal election in Danbury is Tuesday, Nov. 3 where Danbury residents have some important decisions to make.

While Incumbent Republican Mayor Mark Boughton is running unopposed, there are plenty of other positions on the town’s various boards that need to be filled.

For Danbury’s First Ward, the candidates for the Councilmen are:

Democrats: Daniel Iskandar and Daniel Perkins

Republicans: John Priola and Irving Matthew Fox

For Danbury’s Second Ward, the candidates for the Councilmen are:

Democrats: Ashley Ward and Robert Karrat

Republicans: Vinny DiGilio and Elmer Palma

For Danbury’s Third Ward, the candidates for the Councilmen are:

Republicans: Christopher Arconti and Joe Cavo

For Danbury’s Fourth Ward, the candidates for the Councilmen are:

Democrats: John Esposito III and Thomas J Saadi

Republicans: Mary Maroto and Matthew Kennedy

For Danbury’s Fifth Ward, the candidates for the Councilmen are:

Democrats: Frederick Visconti and Duane Perkins

Republicans: Clifton Kolwicz and Geoffrey Herald

For Danbury’s Sixth Ward, the candidates for the Councilmen are:

Democrats: Paul Rotelo and Benjamin Chianese

Republicans: Michael Negron and Theresa Keeler

For Danbury’s Seventh Ward, the candidates for the Councilmen are:

Democrats: Richard Molinaro and Theresa Buzaid

Republicans: Joseph Scozzafava and Nancy Cammisa

Voters will vote for any two candidates for the Board of Aldermen in each ward.

For Councilmen at Large, voters will choose any seven candidates among:

Democrats: Abu Karim, Paul McAllister, James Hughes, Al Almeida, Greg Williams, Andrea Gartner and Sherri Neptune

Republicans: Christina Chiefallo, Jack Knapp, Philip Curram, Andrew Wetmore, Gregg Seabury, Michael Esposito and Warren Levy

For the Board of Education, voters will choose six candidates and cannot choose more than three candidates from one party. The candidates are Democrats Holly Robinson, Frederick Karrat and Gladys Cooper and Republicans Emmanuel Palmares, Richard Hawley, Annrose Lattin, David Metrena, Daniel Rosemark and Patrick Johnston.

For the Zoning Commission, the candidates are Democrats Richard Jowdy, James Kelly and Theodore Haddad and Republicans Alan Kovacs, Robert Melillo, Kevin Haas, Robert Laber, Sally Estefan, Milan David, Jeffrey Giegler, Alexander Rodriguez and Annette Zatkovich. Voters will vote for any nine candidates. As alternates for the commission, voters will vote for any three candidates among Democrat Candace Fay and Republicans Luis Bautista, Mary Cronin and John Herlihy Jr.

Finally, voters will choose any three candidates for constable among Democrats Butch Coladarci, Francis Kieras and Henry Hall and Republicans Michael Halas, Louise McMahon and Michael Salranek.

Ward Three: Stadley Rough School Gym

Ward Four: Shelter Rock School Gym

Ward Five: Danbury War Memorial Gym

Ward Six: Park Avenue School Gym

Ward Seven: Westside Middle School Academy
