Danbury-Based Nursing Home Fined by State Regulators
The facility is one of three in the state recently fined for a lapse in a patient's care.

Danbury, CT - A trio of nursing homes in Connecticut reportedly were fined by the state Department of Public Health for recent lapses in patient care.
The three facilities cited are Shelton's Bishop Wicke Health & Rehabilitation Center, Norwalk's Autumn Lake Healthcare and Danbury's Western Rehabilitation Care Center, reports Connecticut Health I-Team's Kate Farrish.
Bishop Wicke Health was fined $2,160 in connection with a patient's fall.

The patient hit their head in the fall and was later diagnosed with inoperable bleeding on the brain. The facility told I-Team that the policies and procedures have since been updated to avoid such an event occurring again.
Autumn Lake was fined $2,140 in connection with three patients suffering from blisters or pressure sores, according to I-Team.

Western Rehab was fined $1,835 in connection with a patient who fell and suffered cuts on their lips.
