Danbury 'Battle Of The Badges' Returns: What To Know
Residents can help decide the winner as police, fire and emergency crews face off at a blood drive and preparedness event.
DANBURY, CT — Danbury first responders are gearing up for a friendly competition that helps save lives — and residents can join in.
The annual "Battle of the Badges" blood drive will return to Danbury Fair on Wednesday, April 22, from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., marking the fifth year of the event.
Hosted in partnership with the American Red Cross, the event brings together local police, fire and emergency management crews as they compete to see which group can bring in the most blood donations.

The blood drive will be held on the upper level of the mall near Apple, while an Emergency Preparedness Day event, including a "Touch-a-Truck," will take place on the lower level near H&M.
Interested donors can schedule a donation appointment online at redcrossblood.org using sponsor code BOTBDANBURY, or by calling 1-800-RED CROSS.
