Danbury Brothers Nabbed In Major Drug Bust: Police

A year-long investigation into narcotic sales activity in Danbury has resulted in the arrest of two brothers and seizure of illegal firearms

DANBURY, CT — Danbury police arrested two brothers suspected of involvement in illegal drug sales within Danbury, following a year-long investigation.

Detectives from the DPD's Special Investigations Division were tipped off by postal inspectors that the men, age 26 and 34, were receiving narcotics through the mail from California, according to a news release. The men were known to SID Detectives from previous investigations and arrests.

The brothers were apprehended Tuesday without incident during the execution of six court-authorized search and seizure warrants at their residence, located at 34 Oil Mill Road in Danbury, at around 6:35 a.m.

During the search, law enforcement agents recovered a 9mm ghost gun with no serial numbers, an additional 9mm Glock pistol, an extended 32-round magazine, and ammunition. Additionally, authorities seized cash totaling over $28,000, along with substantial quantities of narcotics including approximately 3 pounds of pills, 362 grams of heroin, 2 pounds of MDMA (Ecstasy), 32 grams of cocaine/crack, and fentanyl, according to police.

The men were charged with multiple counts of drug possession with intent to sell, criminal possession of firearms, possession of a firearm without a serial number, possession of a large-capacity magazine, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a drug factory, and conspiracy.

The bond for each suspect was set at $2 million.

Collaborating with the DPD on "Operation Dyad" were Brookfield Police Department detectives, agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Western Connecticut Regional SWAT Team, and the Office of the United States Postal Inspector.
