Danbury Candidate Profile: Warren M. Levy, City Council-At-Large
Levy tells Patch why he should be re-elected to the City Council

DANBURY, CT — The 2019 municipal election is heating up in Danbury and there are plenty of races with candidates eager to serve in elected office.
Danbury Patch asked candidates to answer questions about their campaigns and will be publishing candidate profiles as election day draws near.
Warren M. Levy, 79, is running re-election as City Councilman At-Large as a Republican. He attended Technical in Stamford, and is the owner, operator and founder of Danbury Metal Finishing, Inc., for the last 55 years.

The single most pressing issue facing our town/district is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
The most challenging issues facing a growing Danbury is new technology and the changing culture. We must continue to provide and improve a great quality of life for all of our citizens. We must continue to be a safe City and support good education, good parks with recreational opportunities along with economic development and affordable taxes with controlled spending.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
Each candidate brings with them areas of strength and weakness. The critical differences between me and the other candidates is, I have a historical knowledge and experience of 20 years working with people and political parties on how to get things done.
List other issues that define your campaign platform:
In the future I will be very supportive of regionalization of City services that are cost effective and are in the best interest of Danbury.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I have served on many committees that recommend major city polices. I currently serve on the Danbury Public Schools Task Force. I have also helped countless number of constituents with a variety of issues.
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
Serving on the Danbury City Council is an unpaid position . I am very thankful for what Danbury has given me and my family. Volunteering my service to the City is my way of giving back.
