Danbury City Council Republicans Still in Majority
The mayor, running unopposed, was elected to his eighth term in office.

Republican members of the Danbury City Council will remain in the majority.
An article in the Danbury News Times said that, according to unofficial results, the legislative body is almost nearly unchanged from its current makeup except that two newcomers were elected Tuesday.
Republican Michael J. Esposito and Democrat John Esposito III, his nephew, will replace two councilmembers who did not run for re-election.
