Danbury Civil Rights Attorney is Suing Chief Disciplinary Council in a Race-Related Case

A Danbury civil rights attorney is suing members of the Office of the Chief Disciplinary Counsel.

Danbury civil rights attorney Josephine S. Miller is suing two members of the Office of the Chief Disciplinary Counsel in order to prevent them from pursuing allegations of professional misconduct against her, according to the Connecticut Law Tribune.

Miller the suit against Assistant Disciplinary Counsel Beth Baldwin and First Assistant Chief Disciplinary Counsel Suzanne Sutton.

The grievance against Miller is related to a federal lawsuit she filed against officials in Bridgeport. According to the report, Miller is African-American and claimed she was discriminated against. Miller claimed the Bridgeport Board of Education, Bridgeport Police Department and Bridgeport City Attorney refused to pay her for legal services she provided to several city employees because of her race.
