Danbury Community Emergency Response Team Training Begins Next Week
CERT volunteers are trained to prepare for disasters their community may face by learning to safely respond to hazards.
DANBURY, CT — In anticipation of an above-average hurricane season, the city's Department of Health & Human Services in conjunction with the Danbury Office of Emergency Management will be conducting Community Emergency Response Team training classes on beginning next week.

CERT volunteers are trained to prepare for disasters their community may face by learning to safely respond to hazards and organize basic disaster response. All participants must be over 18 years of age. Organizers highly recommend those who are interested have completed FEMA training IS-315 and IS-317 prior to attending.
