Danbury To Consider Suing Drug Companies
City officials are considering suing companies over the opioid epidemic.

DANBURY, CT — The city council will vote Tuesday on whether to hire a law firm to sue opioid drug manufacturers. Several other cities in Connecticut and the nation have done so already.
A separate lawsuit has 19 Connecticut towns that have signed on, but Danbury is considering going it alone, according to the News-Times.
The movement in lawsuits is reminiscent of when states sued the tobacco industry about 20 years ago.
