Danbury Coronavirus Update: 1,460 Confirmed Cases

Here are the latest, local updates on how the coronavirus outbreak is impacting Danbury.

DANBURY, CT — Mayor Mark Boughton has confirmed that one more resident has died as a result of the new coronavirus, bringing the COVID-19 death toll in the city to 73. There have been 33 new cases that have tested positive for the virus, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 1,460, following some "adjustments by the State," according to Boughton on Twitter.

Statewide, Connecticut once again saw a double-digit decrease in the net number of coronavirus hospitalizations. Additionally, nearly 100 more people died from virus complications. There were 67 lest patients hospitalized for COVID-19 between Friday and Saturday.

There were another 98 coronavirus-related deaths, which brings the state's total to 1,862. Another 661 people tested positive out of 3,564 tests.
