Danbury Crews Douse Pile Of Burning Towels By Propane Tank

DANBURY, CT — Firefighters responded to a report of smoke and found a pile of burning towels on Wednesday afternoon around 2:20 p.m.

The towel fire was near a propane tank behind the building which houses El Coyote Bar & Restaurant and Stanziato's Wood Fired Pizza at 35 Lake Avenue Ext.

The fire had been mostly extinguished by the time firefighters arrived on the scene around 2:20 p.m., but local businesses called 911 over concern of its proximity to the gas tanks.

No injuries were reported.
