Dental Associates of Connecticut in Danbury gave youths cash for their Halloween candy.

Something sweet happened recently at Dental Associates of Connecticut in Danbury.
Kids learned that helping others has its own rewards. Adults got to feel like kids again and the whole community came just a little closer together.
It was all part of Dental Associates of Connecticut’s annual Halloween Candy Buy Back that took place on November 4th. Kids came ready to exchange their bags, sacks, and pumpkins filled with Holiday candy for cash.

Sydney of Danbury already knows what to do with her money, “Thank you for sending money for the animal shelter.”
This years candy collection totals were pretty impressive. The Dental Associates office in Danbury collected 328 pounds of candy handing out $2.00 per pound, or $656 to the children. In all, the four Dental Associates of Connecticut offices handed out $1,736 for 868 pounds of candy collected. Over the 12 years that Dental Associates has been offering the Candy Buy Back program, almost 5 tons of candy has been collected.

Where does all that candy go you might wonder? The candy, along with dental care packages gets donated to our troops overseas through Operation Gratitude, and to Give The Kids The World organization.
