There is a parking ban during winter storms. Residents are strongly encouraged to clear the fire hydrants near their homes if it gets covered by snow during a storm in case of an emergency.

  • Closed Saturday

Community Events and Closings

  • Danbury Fair will close early Saturday, at 2 p.m. Department store, and restaurant hours may vary. They will resume normal operating hours 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Sunday, January 24.
  • Metro North will suspend service at 4 p.m. Saturday
  • Danbury Public Library is closed Saturday
  • DMV road skills tests for license applicants are canceled for Saturday, January 23
  • The United Jewish Center, Danbury’s Saturday Sabbath service is canceled. Sunday religious school is canceled
  • WestConn’s Gallery Opening for the exhibition, “The Beatles: Six Days That Changed the World, February 1964,” will not take place on Saturday, Jan. 23, as scheduled, due to the weather forecast. The opening has been postponed to Saturday, Feb. 6
