Danbury Fall Free Leaf Pickup; Dates, Times, Guidelines
The free program runs till Dec. 4.

Danbury’s free fall leaf pickup program begins Oct. 26. The program runs for six weeks through Dec. 4.
Residents who wish to use the service should remember the following guidelines:
Only leaves bagged in paper leaf bags with no tape should be left at the curbside in front of residences. The city’s highway department will strictly enforce this protocol.

Residents must remember:
- No tape of any kind
- No plastic bags
- No large debris
- No grass, rocks, dirt, garbage or animal waste
- No brush or tree stumps
Branches will be picked up separately. All branches must be cut into lengths no longer than four feet and no limb can be larger than four inches in diameter.

Branches must be bundles in twine and be no heavier than 35 pounds.
Pickup Times are divided by section:
Section A (South of I-84 ZipCode: 06810)
Section B (North of I-84 ZipCode: 06811)
Here are the complete dates:
- Oct. 26-30: Section A (zip code 06810)
- Nov.2-6: Section B (zip code 06811)
- Nov. 9-13: Section A
- Nov. 16-20: Section B
- Nov. 23-27: Section A
- Nov. 30-Dec.4: Section B
The cycle will be repeated through Dec. 4.
Bags should be placed on the curbside Sunday evening.
Ferris Mulch Products located at 6 Plumtrees Road is open to residents wishing to drop off their products year round. Hours are Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to Noon.
Pickup dates are scheduled to change depending on weather and work schedule.
