Update: Danbury Firefighters Battle Blaze at Pet Store

Mayor Mark Boughton took to social media to report on the condition of the animals.

DANBURY, CT — Mayor Mark Boughton took to Facebook late Thursday night to report that all the dogs at the Puppy Love pet store caught in a two-alarm fire were safe.

Firefighters responded to the scene of the "heavy fire" after receiving multiple 911 calls shortly before 9 p.m. and called in the second alarm, the News Times reported. The store held from 35 to 50 dogs, and animal control was called in to manage new accommodations.
