Danbury Firefighters Brave Intense Triangle Street Blaze

Metro North tracks were temporarily closed as Danbury emergency crews tackled the nearby house fire.

DANBURY, CT — Firefighters tackled a residential fire at 114 Triangle Street on Thursday night. No injuries were reported.

First responders encountered a substantial multi-family dwelling with flames pouting from the rear of the structure. Given the intricacies and size of the building, a second alarm was activated, summoning additional support from the Bethel Fire & EMS Tower Ladder, according to fire officials.

Firefighters employed three hoselines and two ladder trucks to bring the situation under control.

The emergency crews' efforts necessitated the temporary closure of the nearby Metro North Railroad Tracks for approximately 90 minutes.

Operational units included Danbury Engines 22, 23, 24, 26, 8, 10, 11, Truck 1, Bethel Tower 1, Miry Brook Canteen, Danbury Police, Metro North Police and Maintenance of Way, Danbury EMS. Concurrently, the Ridgefield and Brookfield Fire Departments provided coverage for the city to address other emergency calls.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Danbury Fire Marshal's Office, and fortunately.

The American Red Cross Connecticut mobilized to offer assistance to the affected residents.
