Danbury Firefighters Extinguish Dumpster Fire

DANBURY, CT — Firefighters extinguished a dumpster fire before it could spread to a nearby building on Friday.

The Danbury Fire Department dispatched crews to 22 Shelter Rock Lane in response to a call about a dumpster fire adjacent to the structure. When they arrived on the scene, crews discovered a dumpster on fire under an overhang.

"Fortunately the quick turnout and rapid extinguishment by Engine 22 Lt. Joe Kovalsky and crew no damage was done to the building," officials posted on social media.
