Danbury Firefighters Rescue Baby Bunny

DANBURY, CT — Firefighters rescued a rabbit from a storm drain on Wednesday, officials reported.

Engine 23 responded to a call from the Stadley Rough School from a staff member there who had seen a baby bunny take a dive into a storm drain.

“(Firefighter) Hines dove right in and was able to bring the little guy to safety,” the FD reported on social media. The animal was evaluated for any injuries and was safely released back into the wild.

This is the second animal rescue these firefighters have handled this month, recently rescuing a family of ducks out of a storm drain.
