Danbury To Hold Public Workshop For Its Affordable Housing Plan

The city will be hosting an online public workshop for its Affordable Housing Plan on Monday.

DANBURY, CT — The city will be hosting an online public workshop for its Affordable Housing Plan on Monday.

The purpose of the workshop is to allow city officials to hear from the public their thoughts and concerns about housing affordability in Danbury as the city develops policies to meet the affordable housing needs of Danbury's residents. The workshop is part of the public engagement process for preparing the plan.

An Affordable Housing Plan is required by State statutes and must be adopted by June 1, 2022.

Policies addressing affordable housing and presented in the Plan will also be incorporated into the City’s Plan of Conservation and Development which is currently being updated.

The City has also launched an online survey in support of the Affordable Housing Plan. The survey is open to all residents and stakeholders.
