Danbury International Festival To Celebrate Unity, Diversity & Culture
Organizers of the Danbury International Festival are promoting the city as the "hub of diversity for the entire state."
DANBURY, CT — The first-ever Danbury International Festival will be held on the CityCenter Green downtown, at 1 National Place.
The multicultural extravaganza will run for two evenings, July 29-30, from 4-10 p.m., and is a joint effort from CityCenter Danbury and Mosaic Coalition.
Organizers say the aim of the festival is to "celebrate unity, diversity, and culture through captivating music, traditional dances, breathtaking art displays, workshops, delectable cuisines" and provide a showcase for different types of cultural community organizations.

Lazaro Chavez, CityCenter Danbury's managing director, said his goal is to cement Danbury's position as the "hub of diversity for the entire state."
"We're not just Hat City," Chavez said. "We're literally a United Danbury Front."
