We invite all to explore literary works and gain a deeper understanding of cultural narratives through the library’s collection of materials available for checkout. To kick off our in person celebrations - we have llamas on the library plaza September 14th. Families with children of all ages are invited to join the interactive music program, Cantando y Jugando, that encourages language learning. Along with arts and crafts, teens and adults can enjoy learning how to make culinary delights like salsas and paella. This year we partnered with the Aldrich Museum in Ridgefield for a bilingual (Spanish/English) Curator Tour of Yvette Mayoraga’s Exhibition: Dreaming of You. Arthur Murray is back again with a salsa dance party on our plaza September 19th (plus 3 weeks of classes). Adults can dance while kids make crafts!

All events and activities are free, open to the public, and take place at the Danbury Library located at 170 Main Street. The library welcomes all to participate in these celebrations as we come together to foster a sense of unity within our community.
