Danbury Library to Hold 2nd Trivia Night at Charter Oak Brewery

From Danbury Library: Due to the overwhelming response and encouragement received from participants at the Danbury Library’s Trivia Night at the Charter Oak Brewery in October, the Library will host another lively trivia night at the Brewery on Wednesday, December 5th. The game will be held from 6:00-7:30 p.m. but the Brewery will open at 5:00 p.m. for players to browse the Brewery, enjoy light snacks and beverages, and get ready for the game.

December’s game will feature brain-bending trivia about “Repeal Day.” On December 5, 1933, the United States repealed the 18th Amendment, which prohibited the “manufacture, sale, or transportation of intoxicating liquors.” The U.S. ratified the Constitution with the inclusion of the 21st Amendment, officially ending what was commonly known as Prohibition. In recognition of the repeal of Prohibition, the Library will present liquor themed questions spanning many categories, such as history, music, movies, and pop culture. There will be something for everyone!

Gather a team of family and friends of up to six players, or play solo. Charter Oak is providing fantastic prizes for the winning team of each of the four rounds and one lucky team will take home the grand prize for the highest score of the game.

Light snacks will be served courtesy of the FRIENDS of the Danbury Library. Players are welcome to bring their own food to enjoy while they play. Beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, will be available for purchase. The Brewery is located at 39B Shelter Rock Road in Danbury, CT.
