Danbury Liquor Inspections: 2 Restaurants Cited For Violations
An investigation of 9 Danbury eateries was prompted by a "growing number of complaints related to these establishments," police said.
DANBURY, CT — Two City restaurants were recently found to violate liquor license laws, according to police.
A team of law enforcement agents from both the Connecticut Department of Liquor Control and the Danbury Police Department ran compliance checks on nine area businesses on Aug. 30
The investigation was prompted by a "growing number of complaints related to these establishments," Danbury police spokesperson Erin Henry said.

The nine businesses inspected in Danbury were:
La Esquina De Pio Pio, 1 Division St.
The Roxy, 40 Mill Plain Rd.
Molly Darcy’s, 39A Mill Plain Rd.
Square One, 24 Mill Plain Rd.
Paradise Bar, 40 Tamarack Ave.
La Canchita, 6 Delay St.
La Costenita, 2B Ives St.
La Estacion Five, 5 Ives St.
Copacabana, 12 Ives St.

La Costenita and The Roxy were found to violate the following:
La Costenita- Found to have no patio permit
The Roxy- 1 count of sale to a minor, Sec. 30-86(b)
The Connecticut Department of Liquor Control submitted an investigation report and will be following up with possible enforcement action, according to Henry.
