Danbury Man and 2 More Charged with Home Invasion: PD

DANBURY, CT — Police arrested a Danbury man and two others in connection with a home invasion that occurred last October.

Residents of a Danbury apartment were awoken by a knocking on their door around 5 a.m. on Oct. 22. When the door was opened, two men and a woman forced their way inside.

One of the suspects was armed with a "large kitchen-type" knife, according to the report, and stole approximately $1,200 from the bedroom.

One of the residents at the apartment recognized the female suspect. With this information and subsequent investigation, the female suspect was positively identified. Further investigation resulted in positively identifying the two male suspects, acquiring confessions to the crime and ultimately three arrests.

Further investigation resulted in positively identifying the two male suspects. Danbury resident Rowan Kolamneo was nabbed a week later. Orlando Cruz was arrested on Feb. 14. All three were charged with home invasion, conspiracy to commit home invasion, fourth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit larceny.

Brown has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is scheduled to appear at pretrial in Danbury Supreme Court on Feb. 25. Cruz and Kolamneo are scheduled to appear at plea hearings on March 6 and Feb. 25, respectively, also at the Danbury court.
