Danbury Man Charged with Selling Drugs from Home: Police

Police began an investigation after receiving complaints from residents.

DANBURY, CT — Police arrested a Danbury man for selling illegal drugs from his home.

Police began an investigation of several weeks after receiving complaints from residents about Neil Hannequin, 62, allegedly selling drugs from his home at 53 Coalpit Hill Road. At the conclusion of the investigation, the police obtained warrants for the search and seizure of Hannequin and his residence.

Police arrested Hannequin on Tuesday at around 2 p.m. as he was parking his car. A search of both the man and his residence yielded illegal drugs and a sum of money believed to be the proceeds of drug sales, according to police.

Hannequin was transported to police HQ where he was processed and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell within 1500’ of a prohibited place, possession of a controlled substance within 1500’ prohibited place, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held on a $25,000 bond.
