Danbury Masonic Open House and Foos Drive
Free open house and charity food drive at 337 Main St, Saturday October 15 10-2
This Saturday October 15, from 10am-2pm, Union Lodge #40 and Ark Lodge #39 AF&AM will open their doors to the public as part of their annual open house. Union Lodge was chartered in 1780 and has been part of the fabric of Danbury for over 200 years. With historical artifacts dating back to the revolutionary war, you can trace the history of Dambury and western Connecticut through the archives of the lodge.
As a fraternal organization, Union and Ark lodges have worked to support many local organizations over the years such as, local volunteer fire and EMS, angel tree, veterans organizations, adopt a street and local food pantries. This Saturday's open house the lodge will be hosting a food drive to support the Daily Bread Food Pantry at St James Episcopal church. An organization that provides groceries and pantry items to over 600 families per month.
Stop by the lodge this Saturday between 10am&2pm take a tour and experience the brotherhood and the history, have a hot dog and learn about Masonry in Connecticut. Bring a non perishable food item and help us support a local charity in the good work that they do!
