Danbury Mayor Names Former City Councilman To Head Development
Mayor Dean Espositohas named Shay Nagarsheth as director of Economic Development for the City of Danbury.

DANBURY, CT - Mayor Dean Esposito has named Shay Nagarsheth as director of Economic Development for the City of Danbury.
Nagarsheth has served on the Danbury City Council from 2003 until 2010 as well as the CityCenter Business Development Committee, Legislative Board of the Danbury Chamber of Commerce, City of Danbury Civil Service Commission, Danbury Lions Club, Friends of Danbury Library and the Environmental Impact Commission.
"Shay Nagarsheth will make a tremendous Director of Economic Development because of his passion for the City of Danbury and his experience with businesses of all sizes," Esposito said. "Danbury is the shining city on the hill for the State of Connecticut, and with the leadership of Shay Nagarsheth we will not only continue in that tradition but expand upon it."

Previously, Nagarsheth had been employed by Comcast as an enterprise account executive and business account executive since 2015. Prior to that, he was the general manager of Verizon Wireless in Stamford, from 2005-2015.
