Danbury Mayor Raises Less but Could Still Be Ahead in Fundraising Stage of GOP Race

It is becoming difficult to tell who has raised more in fundraising for the current GOP race.

DANBURY, CT - It is becoming difficult to tell if Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton has raised more money in fundraising than his opponents GOP candidates, the Danbury News Times reported.

Boughton has collected approximately $26,000 in contributions, according to the Danbury News Times. Opponent and Fairfield attorney Peter Lumaj, however, has collected $127,000 in contributions.

The difficulty in telling who has raised more stems from the fact that campaign contributions over $100 are disqualified, the Danbury News Times reported. The fact that 90 percent of the contributions must come from Connecticut residents has also made it difficult to tell.
