Danbury Murder-Suicide Couple 'In A Domestic Relationship': Police
A man stabbed a woman in the street, before turning the knife on himself, according to police.
DANBURY, CT — The man and woman found dead on High Ridge Road Friday were in a domestic relationship, according to police.
A Danbury patrol officer heard "a verbal altercation" in the area of High Ridge Road and Scuppo Road around 12:10 a.m., Det. Capt. LeRose said in a statement released Monday.
Upon investigating, the officer saw a man standing over a woman, lying on High Ridge Road. As the officer exited his police vehicle to render aid, the man "turned toward the officer and proceeded to stab himself in the chest with a large knife," before falling to the ground, according to LeRose. It was then that the officer noticed that the woman had been stabbed several times, "apparently by the adult male."
