Danbury PAL Scores $300K Grant For Programs, Equipment & Upgrades
The Danbury Police Activities League will receive $300,000 over the next two years courtesy of CT's Youth Violence Prevention Initiative.

Thanks to the efforts of State Rep. Farley Santos, the Danbury Police Activities League is pleased to announce that the non-profit youth organization will receive $300,000 over the next two years courtesy of the State of Connecticut’s Youth Violence Prevention Initiative Grant. The funds will be used toward youth programs, utilities and equipment as well as facility maintenance and upgrades. The Danbury PAL has been fortunate enough to receive the grant since 2019 thanks to former State Representative, David Arconti.

Danbury PAL Executive Director, Vince Jackson added “We are extremely pleased and excited to receive the Youth Violence Protection Initiative Grant. These funds are invaluable to our youth throughout the greater Danbury community and we thank State Rep. Santos for his support and diligence for once again making this happen!”
Board of Directors President, Chad Bock went on to add “This tremendous support will allow PAL to do so much to serve so many. These funds will allow PAL to continue to be a leader in youth programming, while expanding our available offerings to the Danbury Area youth.”

“The only reason I played soccer in elementary and middle school was because Danbury PAL offered a $50 program which was all my family could afford,” said State Representative Farley Santos. “These funds will ensure equitable access for Danbury kids and will enable PAL to continue filling the gap of sports activities that are no longer offered at the municipal level which we know keep our children engaged and active.” said Rep. Santos.
The Danbury PAL is a non-profit youth organization based in Danbury, CT founded in 1972 and works to aid in the positive development of youth by offering a wide range of programs and services to meet their mentoring, athletic and recreational needs.
