Danbury PD Arrests Two Men on Drug Charges After Investigation

The investigation leading to the arrest was weeks long and began after receiving citizen complaints.

DANBURY, CT —Police arrested two men on drug charges after a weeks long investigation.

On Thursday, at approximately 4:30 p.m., police arrested Ariel “MVP” Perez-Hinojosa, 23, for a variety of drug related offenses following the execution of search and seizure warrants for Perez-Hinojosa, his car, a cellular telephone and his residence at 31 Division Street in Danbury. While executing the warrants, investigators seized a substantial quantity of suspected fentenyl, US currency and drug paraphernalia.

While Perez-Hinojosa was the target of the court authorized search warrants, another man, Nicholas Vito Alosco, 29, of Autumn Drive in Bethel, was also arrested after he was seen buying illegal drugs from Perez-Hinojosa.

The investigation leading to the arrest was weeks long and began after police received citizen complaints related to Perez-Hinojosa selling illicit drugs from his apartment and throughout the city.

Based on all findings, Ariel Perez-Hinojosa and Nicholas Vito Alosco were placed under arrest and transported to the Danbury Police Department where they were charged according to search warrant findings.

Alosco was charged with possession of a controlled substance and released with a promise to appear in court.

Perez-Hinojosa was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell, sale of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance within 1500' of a school with intent to sell, sale of a controlled substance within 1500’ school, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drug paraphernalia within 1500' of a school, and operating a drug factory. His bond was set at $100,000.
