Danbury Pet Shop Owner May Face More Animal Cruelty Charges
Richard Doyle pleaded not guilty to witness tampering Wednesday.

There could be more charges of animal cruelty lodged against a Danbury pet store owner who just pleaded not guilty to witness tampering.
The Danbury News-Times said Richard Doyle, the owner of American Breeders on Federal Road, added his not-guilty pleas to two counts of felony witness tampering Wednesday to his earlier not-guilty pleas to three felony counts of animal cruelty.
The prosecutor in the case, Jonathan Lewin, told the News-Times the investigation into witness tampering came up with more animal cruelty instances.
