Danbury Police Charge Man With Sexual Assault Of 8-Year-Old
The man had been under investigation by the Special Victims Unit of the Danbury Police Department.

DANBURY, CT — Police arrested a man on an outstanding warrant charging he had sexually assaulted an eight-year-old child.
On Tuesday, members of the Special Victims Unit of the Danbury Police Department apprehended Daniel Plaza Quiroz, 41, following an investigation stemming from a March 2 complaint regarding the abuse.
Quiroz was "arrested without incident," according to Det. Sgt. Gary Guertinon. He was charged with first-degree sexual assault, two counts of first-degree criminal attempt/sexual assault, fourth-degree sexual assault, two counts of risk of injury to a minor/impairing morals, and two counts of risk of injury to a minor/sexual contact.

Quiroz was held on a $200,000 court set bond and scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Wednesday.
