Danbury Police Launch Recruitment Campaign [VIDEO]

DANBURY, CT – The Danbury Police Department has launched a new recruitment campaign with the release of application dates, informational sessions, and a brand-new hiring video that spotlights every aspect of the city's police work, from S.W.A.T. through K-9 handlers, from the honor guard through the horse detail.

The video is another star turn for Lt. Vincent Daniello, the face of the 2017 recruitment video which was credited with attracting more than 500 applications and over 100,000 views. Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton and Chief of Police Patrick Ridenhour also feature prominently in the spoof.

"We are excited to start this new recruitment process and hope to see the same success that we
had in our last campaign," said Chief Ridenhour. "I hope people enjoy this video and see that we
show not only the facets of the entire department, but how fun and rewarding a career with the
Danbury Police Department can be."

Applications will be accepted starting Oct. 21 on PoliceApp. Interested parties must have a valid C.H.I.P. card to apply. The application process will close on Dec. 2. All communications must go through PoliceApp.

The police will hold an informational meeting at the Danbury Police Department on Oct. 23 from 7 - 9:00 p.m. and Nov. 16 from 10:00 a.m. - noon.
