Danbury Police Mourn Loss of Beloved K9

It's the End of Watch for K9 Koda.

DANBURY, CT — The police announced the passing of a beloved police dog on social media today.

K9 Koda joined the Danbury Police Department in 2011 and was partnered with Detective Travis Kupchok. Kupchok and K9 Koda patrolled the streets of Danbury for six years until Koda's retirement in 2017.

"K9 Koda will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are with Detective Kupchok and his family," a police spokesperson wrote on the department's Facebook page.
