Danbury Police Nab 2 Men on Drugs and Weapon Charges
Police began their investigation several months ago following complaints of illegal activity.

DANBURY, CT — Police arrested two men Thursday after they found a stash of drugs and a loaded gun in one of the men's apartment.
Danbury police began an investigation into the activity of Amarpreet Sidhu, 34, of Mansfield Street in Bethel, several months ago. Residents complained he was selling illegal drugs out of the Padanaram Road apartment of Patrick Rodrigues, 34, and throughout Danbury. The investigation corroborated the complaints, and they obtained a search and seizure warrant for Rodrigues' residence.
At around 2 p.m. on Thursday, Danbury police, assisted by the Brookfield PD, executed the warrant and found Sidhu, Rodrigues, and David Snyder, 37, of Brookfield, in the apartment. A search of the residence turned up several ounces of powder cocaine, crack cocaine and fentanyl; several packets of suboxone; a substantial quantity of LSD; several hundred dollars; and a loaded 9mm pistol. Snyder was found to be in possession of a small quantity of crack cocaine, according to police.

Sidhu and Rodrigues were charged with 20 counts of possession of a controlled substance, three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of criminal possession of a firearm and ammunition. Both men were held on $250,000 bonds.
The Brookfield police had an outstanding arrest warrant for Sidhu related to drug sales. He will be remanded to the custody of the Connecticut Department of Corrections as he is on parole for a previous conviction, according to the police report.

Snyder was charged with possessions of a controlled substance and released with a promise to appear in court.
