Police Nab Danbury Gunman In Rogers Park Dispute

Police have identified the teen they say fired shots during a dispute at Rogers Park​ in Danbury on July 8.

Alexie Espinal, 18, is facing charges of illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle and first-degree criminal attempt at assault, according to the Danbury Police Department.

DANBURY, CT — Police have identified the teen they say fired shots during a dispute at Rogers Park in Danbury on July 8.

No one was injured at the time, and there was no danger to the community, police said

Alexie Espinal, 18, of Danbury, is facing charges of illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, first-degree reckless endangerment, first-degree criminal attempt at assault, second-degree breach of peace, risk of injury to a child, carrying a dangerous weapon, illegal discharge of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, driving without a license, and having illegible license plates.

Espinal is being held on a $250,000 bond.
