Danbury Police Nab Man Who Crashed into Bank and Fled
A quick-thinking witness noted the license number of the vehicle, and that helped police make the collar.

DANBURY, CT — Police caught a Danbury man who officers said crashed into a bank building and then fled, the News Times reported.
Michael Mazur, 28, of Danbury, ran his vehicle into the side of Savings Bank of Danbury on Newtown Road on Monday. He fled the scene before police arrived, but a witness gave officers the plate number. Mazur was later apprehended one and a half miles away at Kapteins Corner Deli .
Police found marijuana and prescription drugs when hey searched Mazur's vehicle.

Mazur was charged with breach of peace, evading responsibility, possession of controlled substance or greater than a 1/2 ounce of cannabis, possession of less than a half ounce of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, and the sale of narcotic substance.
