Danbury Police Nab Suspected Drug Dealer

The arrest came after a weeks-long investigation that stemmed from complaints made by residents of suspicious activities.

DANBURY, CT — Police arrested a Danbury man on Thursday on drug-related charges after a weeks-long investigation that stemmed from complaints made by residents of suspicious activities.

Police were monitoring the residence of Ronald Kenneth Scott at 17A Irving Place On Oct.11 when he reportedly engaged in a drug transaction with the driver of a car that entered his driveway. Police stopped the car before it left the area and found the driver to be in possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana. They issued an infraction to the driver.

At the same time, which was approximately 1:17 p.m., police executed a warrant to search Scott, his home and his car. Police report that they seized several ounces of cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and suspected drug proceeds.

Police charged Scott with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of sale of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $50,000.

Scott is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 6
