Danbury Teens Accused of Abduction, Assault: Police
Police say three Danbury teens held a man and woman against their will.
DANBURY — Police have charged three city teens with assault and unlawful restraint charges after they say they held two people against their will at a nearby Quality Inn.
Rosangie Nicole Burgos, 19, Yumari Nunez, 18, and John Victor Medeiros, 18, all of Danbury, were apprehended April 15 following a phone call from a man who reported his son had been abducted.
Police say they found the man's adult son, along with a female victim, at the Quality Inn & Suites on Federal Road, when they took Burgos, Nunez and Medeiros into custody.

Burgos was charged with first-degree unlawful restraint, first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery, second-degree criminal mischief, fourth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit larceny, possession of a controlled substance and use of a motor vehicle without permission.
Nunez has been charged with first-degree unlawful restraint, first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery, second-degree criminal mischief, fourth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit larceny.

Medeiros is charged with first-degree unlawful restraint, first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery, first-degree threatening, second-degree criminal mischief, third-degree assault, fourth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit larceny, assault on a police officer, disorderly conduct, possession of a controlled substance and use of a motor vehicle without permission.
