Danbury Woman Crowned 'Miss Shoreline 2017'
A 20-year-old Danbury woman was crowned Miss Shoreline and will have the opportunity to compete for Miss Connecticut.
DANBURY, CT — Could the next Miss Connecticut or Miss American hail from Danbury, Conn.? If Victoria Lemme's dream comes true, the answer will be "yes." Victoria Lemme, 20, from Danbury, was crowned Miss Shoreline 2017 on October 15, 2016 as the local preliminary to Miss Connecticut and Miss America pageants.
Lemme is a junior nursing student at the University of Connecticut with ambitions to become an a registered nurse and work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She is a member of the University of Connecticut's Dance Company, UConn Tap Team, as well as Alpha Chi Omega Kappa Tau Chapter.
She competed in four sections of competition including: On Stage Question, Talent, Lifestyle and Fitness in Swimwear and Evening Gown. For her special skill part of the contest, she performed a tap solo choreographed by Kate Cavenagh D'Onofrio and received the overall highest score for talent. She has danced since she was 3-years-old and has received numerous high scores and special awards locally and nationally.

Lemme's mother Taylor said, "Tori was so excited to be crowned Miss Shoreline on only her third pageant. She proudly promotes her personal platform: Fight Like A Baby: The Battle of Prematurity. Tori's journey will include her continual fundraising for the Children's Miracle Network and other community service events as she prepares her way to compete in Miss Connecticut in June of 2017 at Hartford XL Center."
