Danbury Women's Center Gets $991,000 from State for Upgrades
The State Bond Commission voted to approve financing for renovations.

DANBURY — The state is awarding the Women’s Center of Greater Danbury $991,000 to renovate and upgrade its downtown headquarters, the News-Times is reporting. The State Bond Commission voted late last week to approve financing from the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services for repairs and upgrades to the center.
Currently, the women's center occupies offices at 2 West Street which have not been renovated since move-in in 1999. In need of upgrades or repair are the building's roof, windows, heating, AC and IT equipment.
