Danbury's 'Good Samaritan Mission' Homeless Outreach Gets New Executive Director

Good Samaritan Mission appoints Mark Grasso as executive director of homeless and other at-risk men mission.

DANBURY – Mark Grasso of Newtown has been appointed the executive director of the Good Samaritan Mission in Danbury.

Grasso has been with Catholic Charities in Bridgeport and Danbury for the past 12 years, most recently as vice president. He has extensive experience in mental health and homeless services, and has directed various programs for at-risk communities. He has a bachelor of arts degree from Western Connecticut State University and a master of science degree from Springfield College.

He and his wife, Wendy, have two children and live in Sandy Hook. They worship at the Calvary Chapel in Southbury, where Mark is a member of the worship team.

The Good Samaritan Mission was created by Jericho Partnership to provide in-depth, long-term transitional programs to homeless and other at-risk men. The faith-based Mission has an overnight shelter at 13 Maple Ave., and long-term residence and counseling facilities at 22 Maple Ave.

Jericho Partnership is an umbrella organization for 24 urban and suburban churches and 10 hands-on transformative ministries to Danbury’s youth, homeless and other at-risk communities.
