New Details Released After Fire Reported In Danbury
One firefighter sustained injuries and was transported to Danbury Hospital.
UPDATE: Firefighters were busy battling a fire in the Aunt Hack area of the city on Wednesday afternoon.
At 1:43 p.m. Danbury Fire Department units from “B” Shift responded to a fire in the Aunt Hack area of the city.
Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy fire coming from an attached garage, officials said. Firefighters quickly knocked down the blaze, preventing its extension into the home's living space, officials said.

One firefighter sustained minor injuries and was transported to Danbury Hospital for evaluation and treatment. The fire remains under investigation by the Danbury Fire Marshal's Office.

According to Danbury Professional Fire Fighters Local 801, crews were dispatched after a caller reported a fully involved garage fire with flames extending to a nearby home.
Engine 26 was the first unit to arrive and encountered visible fire while stretching a hose line, officials said.
No additional information, including whether anyone was injured or the extent of the damage, was immediately available.
