The Diebold Family Cancer Run/Walk Revisited
Along with the event helper- Susan Kania are Pat Font, Karla Ryerson, Carol Stetson, and Carol Sanger of the WCDNF.
On a clear sunny day 27 volunteers from the Woman's Club of Danbury/New Fairfield helped out at the Diebold Cancer Walk/Run. On Saturday, October 15th the participants raised money for New Milford Hospital's The Diebold Family Cancer Center. For the second year Harrybrooke Park was a wonderful location to hold this 3K Run/Walk. Many participants were cancer survivors, family members, friends and of course, conscientious citizens. The day was filled with music, refreshments, children's drawing activities and various health vendor's booths to visit.
The Woman's Club members representing the greater Danbury area assisted with registration, refreshments, route directors, cheering squad and a few walkers as well. Just another effort to help find a cure.
