End Of Watch: Danbury Police Mourning Death Of K-9 Officer Cael

DANBURY, CT — The Danbury Police Department is mourning the death of K-9 Officer Cael, at the age of 8.

The police dog passed away Saturday night from "complications from a recent illness that apparently resurfaced," according to a DPD post on social media.

Cael was a German Shepherd and the partner of Sgt. Eric Cieply for the past six years, and "will be remembered most for his quiet, friendly demeanor," police said.
