Fairfield County Bank Supports Local Habitat
Helping local families through ownership of affordable homes

Fairfield County Bank has been helping Housatonic Habitat for Humanity build affordable housing for decades. Recently, it offered financing so that the local Habitat affiliate could renovate a home in New Milford for a qualified working family. “Since Housatonic Habitat was established in Ridgefield in 1991, we have been committed to its mission of building workforce housing locally. Helping our community is the key to everything we do and we are pleased to offer financing that enables volunteer-led efforts in our communities,” said Dan Berta, President of Fairfield County Bank. Donna Chillemi, a senior loan officer at Fairfield County Bank, sits on Housatonic Habitat's Board, a commitment the Bank has made for over a decade.
Housatonic Habitat for Humanity focuses on making a meaningful difference in the lives of qualified working families by promoting financial stability and self-sufficiency through ownership of affordable homes. Households often consist of those who have limited assets and who have jobs that also have income caps.
